Tecumseh, Michigan.A SMALL TOWN WORTH THE DRIVE FROM ANN ARBOR
Description

Island Park is a tree-lined public park on North Broad Street in Adrian, the kind of open green space you can drop into without a plan and still get something out of an hour.

Multiple playgrounds keep kids busy, and there are baseball diamonds for when a pickup game breaks out or a league has the place booked. The shade from the trees is a real one in the summer, and the layout means you can find a quiet bench even when the playgrounds are full.

Open daily from 6 in the morning until 10 at night, which covers everything from early walks to after-dinner laps. Dogs are welcome and kids do well here, no reservations or fees in the way.

Free, low-effort, and a solid middle-of-the-day reset between shop visits or before dinner in town. The kind of park you remember to come back to. Find more Adrian and Tecumseh-area outdoor stops in the directory at mitecumseh.com.
