Ellis Park is a neighborhood park in Blissfield.
Quieter than the downtown action, this one is built for the slower beat of an afternoon: a skate park for the older kids, a dog park for the four-legged crowd, a playground for the little ones, and a softball field for pickup games or league nights. It is the kind of spot residents quietly count on and visitors usually never hear about, which is part of why it stays good. Bring a frisbee, bring a coffee, bring nothing. Works for all three.
Open 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. every day, so sunrise walks and post-dinner ball games both fit. Dogs are welcome, kids have plenty to do, and the mix of facilities means a family with kids of different ages can keep everyone busy without splitting up.
