Blue LLama Jazz Club

Blue LLama is Ann Arbor's jazz club with a kitchen. Live music tight to the stage, Afro-Caribbean small plates and large plates from a la carte and prix fixe menus, and a bar with cocktails worth ordering. About 35 minutes from Tecumseh up US-23.

Open Wednesday through Sunday only - 5:30pm starts midweek, with later last calls on Fridays and Saturdays. Brunch is in the rotation, dinner is the main event, and dessert holds its own. Reservations are essentially required, since sets are seated and dated. Outdoor seating opens up when the weather plays along.

Regulars consistently rave about the small plates, the cocktails, and an atmosphere that feels closer to a destination than a stop. Live jazz is the reason to drive over, but the food and service are why people come back without a show booked. Good for a date that needs to feel like a real evening, a friends-night-out upgrade, or any time you want something Tecumseh does not have closer to home.
