Best Antique Stores in Tecumseh Michigan

This town is an antique hunter’s dream.

The antique stores in Tecumseh Michigan stretch from the walkable downtown strip on Chicago Boulevard out to the rolling countryside along M-50 and Occidental Highway. You’re not getting one dusty booth in a forgotten strip mall. You’re getting multi-dealer warehouses, specialty rooms full of depression glass, and estate auction barns that have been running since 1948.

Whether you’re after mid-century furniture, vintage advertising tins, or a brass cash register you didn’t know you needed – Tecumseh and the surrounding area have it. Here’s the full rundown, starting downtown and working outward.

Antiques & Vintage On The Boulevard – The Downtown Starting Point

Start here. Antiques & Vintage On The Boulevard sits at 138 E. Chicago Blvd, right in the middle of downtown Tecumseh’s main drag.

The mix is what keeps people coming back. Primitives, industrial pieces, shabby chic, retro kitchenware, farm-fresh finds, vintage advertising signs, and seasonal handmade items rotate through constantly. The vendors here lean into the “curated booth” approach – everything is styled and displayed, not just stacked on shelves.

Walk in thinking you’re just browsing. You’ll walk out with a galvanized bucket and a set of enamelware you “had to have.” That’s the Chicago Blvd effect.

Open Monday through Saturday. Call ahead at 517-301-4747 for seasonal hours.

Antiques at the Next Level – 8,000 Square Feet Off M-50

Head east on M-50 (Monroe Road) and you’ll hit Antiques at the Next Level at 1322 E. Monroe Road. This is the former Hitching Post Antiques Mall, now under new ownership by Nicholas Wegman, who grew up around antiques with his grandparents.

At 8,000 square feet, it’s a proper multi-dealer mall with specialty rooms you don’t find everywhere. There’s a dedicated clock room, an oil lamp room, and a glassware room – each one curated by dealers who actually know their stuff.

The parking lot is big and easy to navigate, right off the highway. If you’re driving in from Ann Arbor or Jackson, this one is hard to miss. Literally – the sign is right there.

Open Monday through Saturday starting at 10 a.m.

Second Chance Antiques and Collectibles – Consignment Done Right

Just around the corner from Chicago Blvd, Second Chance Antiques and Collectibles at 100 E. Logan Street has been voted best consignment shop in the area for over a decade running. That’s not an accident.

The focus here is high-end clothing, designer purses, accessories, and vintage furniture – all on consignment. If you’re looking for a leather jacket from the ’80s or a midcentury dresser that actually fits your apartment, this is your stop.

Consignment drop-off hours are Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Regular shopping hours run Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Pro tip: the good stuff moves fast. If you see something you love, grab it. It won’t be there next week.

D S Auction Services & Antiques – Estate Finds Since 1948

This is the one locals have been going to for decades. D S Auction Services & Antiques has been operating out of 5315 S. Occidental Highway since 1948 – that’s over 75 years of estate sales, personal collections, and downsizing finds passing through one building.

Run by Deb Cook, auctions happen regularly with doors opening at 4:30 p.m. and bidding starting at 6:00 p.m. No buyer’s premium, which is rare. Items come from family estates and personal collections across Lenawee County.

Even if you’re not there for auction night, the shop is open during the day (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and worth the drive down Occidental Highway. Wheelchair accessible, free parking, and zero pretension.

Irish Hills Antiques – Worth the Drive to Brooklyn

Head south on US-12 toward the Irish Hills and you’ll find Irish Hills Antiques at 10600 US Hwy 12 in Brooklyn. This one specializes in brass cash registers, country store items, and vintage advertising – the kind of inventory that collectors drive hours for.

Ray and Maria run the shop with a focus on quality over quantity. The rustic wooden exterior looks like it belongs in the countryside, because it does. Call ahead for hours – this is a destination shop, not a big-box operation.

Every August, Irish Hills Antiques participates in the US Highway 12 Longest Garage Sale – the second weekend of the month. They rent outdoor spaces during the event, and the whole stretch of US-12 turns into a picker’s paradise.

Gallery of Shops – A Tecumseh Multi-Vendor Favorite

Gallery of Shops is one of those spots where you walk in for one thing and spend two hours wandering. Multiple vendors under one roof, each with their own style – from farmhouse decor to vintage jewelry to hand-refinished furniture.

The beauty of a multi-vendor setup is the variety. One booth might be packed with Victorian-era figurines while the next one over has industrial metal signs and reclaimed wood shelves. You never know what you’re walking into, and that’s the point.

Check their social media for vendor spotlight posts and new arrivals. The inventory rotates constantly as vendors refresh their booths.

Blissfield Antiques Mall – Three Floors, 100+ Dealers

You’ll want to carve out serious time for this one. Blissfield Antiques Mall at 105 W. Adrian Street in Blissfield is one of Michigan’s largest antique malls – five interconnected buildings, three floors, and over 100 dealers in residence.

The layout is a deliberate maze. You think you’ve seen everything, then you turn a corner and there’s another room. Depression glass collectors come from across the state for one of the largest collections in the region. The primitives and vintage furniture selection is equally deep.

Open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Closed Mondays. Blissfield is about 15 minutes from downtown Tecumseh – an easy add-on to any antique shopping day.

Barn Again – Curated Vintage With Character

Barn Again rounds out the circuit with a focus on curated goods that honor and preserve the past. Think weathered signs, repurposed farm tools turned wall art, and vintage kitchenware your grandmother definitely owned.

The selection skews toward items that work in a modern home – not museum pieces you’re afraid to touch, but real things you’ll actually use or display. If you’re decorating a cottage, a farmhouse, or just want something on your shelf that has a story behind it, this is your spot.

How to Plan Your Antique Shopping Day

Here’s how to do it without burning out.

Morning: Start downtown on Chicago Blvd at Antiques & Vintage On The Boulevard. Walk the block, grab coffee at one of the nearby cafes, and ease into it.

Late morning: Drive east on M-50 to Antiques at the Next Level. Give yourself at least 45 minutes for the specialty rooms.

Lunch: Head back to downtown Tecumseh. Plenty of spots within walking distance.

Afternoon: Drive south on Occidental Highway to D S Auction Services, then continue to the Irish Hills for Irish Hills Antiques. If you’ve got energy left, swing through Blissfield Antiques Mall on the way back.

Key tip: Bring cash. Some of the smaller shops and individual vendors prefer it. Most accept cards, but cash keeps you from overthinking purchases. Set a budget. Then add $50 to it, because you’re going to need it.

The full loop covers about 40 miles of driving and as many antique stores in Tecumseh Michigan as you can handle in a day. For the complete list of shops, check mitecumseh.com – we keep the listings updated with hours, directions, and what each spot is known for.
