State park where Michigan's early road-trip history actually happened. Cambridge Junction sits about 25 minutes west of Tecumseh near Brooklyn, anchored by Walker Tavern, the 1830s stagecoach stop that once hosted Daniel Webster on his way through the state.
The grounds are open daily from morning until late evening, so you can wander in after a winery stop or roll through on a slow Sunday loop. There's a visitors' center to give you the backstory, picnic tables if you brought lunch, and a public restroom that road-trip parents will appreciate. In summer, a farmers market sets up on the grounds, which makes the visit feel less museum, more community.
