Description
A coffee roaster on East Chicago Boulevard.
Musgrove roasts its own, and the beans come from one family: Cafe Rivense, a farm and micromill in the Chirripo mountains of southern Costa Rica, started in 2005 by Regulo Urena and Isabel Rojas and now run with their children. Rivense mills on the farm itself, and one of its lots placed fifth in Costa Rica’s Cup of Excellence in 2019. That is a shorter line between a farm and a cup than most coffee in Michigan can claim.
Open 7am to 5pm weekdays, 8am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday. Moderate prices. A genuine local favorite, with regulars consistently calling out the peanut butter cookies, the fresh coffee, and a vibe built around cute decor, comfortable seating, and a quiet, calming atmosphere that makes it easy to stay longer than you planned.
Dine-in, takeout, and delivery all on the table. Outdoor seating when the weather is on your side. Kid-friendly. Restrooms on site.
Park once on Chicago Boulevard and Musgrove drops naturally into a shopping loop, the kind of stop that turns a quick errand morning into a sit-and-linger one. If you're building a downtown day from out of town, this is the coffee stop to plan around. More downtown picks at mitecumseh.com.
