Description
Museum on Main Street is Washtenaw County's local history museum in downtown Ann Arbor - about 35 minutes from Tecumseh on US-23. If you're curious about the region's past - Native American history, frontier settlement, how communities evolved from villages to what they are today - this is where that story lives.
Open Saturday and Sunday only, noon to 4 PM. The downtown location means you can pair it with other Ann Arbor stops if you're making the drive worth it. Local history museums are the kind of place you walk into not expecting much and walk out an hour later genuinely surprised by what you learned. Good stop for kids interested in Michigan history. Check washtenawhistory.org for current exhibits and visiting details.
