Martins Home Center Verified listing

Martin's Home Center has anchored downtown Tecumseh at 145 W Chicago Boulevard since 1947, and the fourth generation of the Martin family still runs the floor day to day. Google files it under a single category, but the store is really three businesses under one roof: a full Ace Hardware, a major-brand appliance dealer, and a multi-department furniture showroom.

The furniture side carries Flexsteel, La-Z-Boy, Riverside, and Ashley. The appliance side stocks Whirlpool, Speed Queen, KitchenAid, Maytag, GE, Amana, and Hotpoint, plus LG and Samsung televisions. The Ace departments run from birdseed to bicycles and drill bits to extension cords, with paint, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, housewares, and a gift shop alongside. In season you will also find Weber and Traeger grills, patio furniture, and pool supplies out back.

That mix is the point: one downtown stop covers a fitting, a fridge, and a new sofa without a drive to a big-box warehouse. Open Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 5:30 PM, closed Sunday. Call (517) 423-2065.
